Phoenix Yacht Management is proud to support the Crew Voices Project, an industry initiative dedicated to recognising the experience, knowledge and contribution of yacht crew across the superyacht sector.
Crew are at the heart of every successful yacht operation, playing a key role in ensuring safety, operational excellence and exceptional guest experiences. Their first-hand understanding of life onboard provides valuable insight into the challenges, opportunities and developments shaping the future of the industry.
The Crew Voices Project has been created to provide Captains and senior crew with a dedicated platform to share their experience, exchange knowledge and contribute to discussions that influence the continued development of the superyacht community. By bringing onboard perspectives into wider industry conversations, the initiative aims to encourage stronger collaboration between crew, management companies, suppliers and other industry professionals.
PHOENIX’s involvement in this initiative is supported by Emma Laycock, Head of Crew Recruitment & Internal HR, who is a member of The Bridge Between industry think tank. The group brings together leading yacht management companies to collaborate on initiatives focused on crew development, industry engagement and strengthening communication between onboard and shore-based teams. Through this collaboration, PHOENIX continues to support initiatives that promote professional development, knowledge sharing and a more connected approach across the yachting industry.
The Crew Voices Project will provide selected Captains and senior crew members with the opportunity to participate in The Superyacht Forum (16–17 November 2026) and METSTRADE (17–19 November 2026) in Amsterdam.
The programme will offer 100 Captains and senior crew members complimentary access to both events, providing opportunities to connect with industry professionals, participate in dedicated crew-focused discussions and exchange knowledge with peers from across the superyacht community. In addition to event access, selected participants will benefit from a range of additional opportunities designed to support their participation, including an ATPI travel voucher contribution of €200 towards travel costs.
Eligible participants include Captains and senior crew working on yachts of 50m+ or sailing yachts of 30m+, with a minimum of five years of onboard experience. The initiative is designed to ensure that experienced crew members have the opportunity to contribute their perspectives and help shape discussions around the future of the industry.
