A SUPERYACHT CHARTER THROUGH RAJA AMPAT, INDONESIA

Indonesia offers one of the most exceptional settings in the world for yacht charters, with more than 17,000 islands delivering remote coastlines, rich marine ecosystems, and dramatic volcanic landscapes. From the mythical Komodo National Park to the untouched wilderness of Raja Ampat, these waters are ideal for immersive, multi-day voyages by sea.

Yachting enthusiasts particularly enjoy a yacht charter through Raja Ampat, where jungle-covered limestone islands rise from turquoise lagoons and coral reefs host one of the highest concentrations of marine life on the planet. Located off the coast of West Papua, Raja Ampat is celebrated for its world-class diving, kayaking through hidden channels, and rare wildlife encounters. Chartering a yacht in Raja Ampat allows guests to access secluded bays, drift dive over technicolor reefs, and paddle through ancient mangrove forests — all in complete comfort and privacy. Many journeys here take place aboard traditional Indonesian phinisi yachts—handcrafted vessels that blend heritage with luxury and offer an unforgettable way to explore these remote waters.

DAY 1 | SORONG & MIOSKON

Begin your charter in Sorong, where you will board your yacht and set sail towards Mioskon, a peaceful island nestled in the heart of Raja Ampat. Mioskon is famed for its glassy waters—ideal for kayaking or snorkelling. Paddle past emerald shores and explore vibrant reefs teeming with marine life. The nearby Kri Peninsula is particularly well-known for its exceptional coral slopes and astonishing biodiversity.

DAY 2 | TAPOKRENG & KRI PENINSULA

Set off early to catch the dawn chorus of Birds of Paradise in Tapokreng. As the morning mist lifts, trek gently uphill to see the red bird of paradise perform its mesmerising courtship dance atop bare branches—an unforgettable display of Raja Ampat’s wild magic. Afterwards, return to the yacht for breakfast before heading to the Kri Peninsula, a diver’s haven with some of the most renowned reefs in the region.

DAY 3 | PENEMU, YEBEN & ALJUI BAY

Hike up to the Penemu Viewpoint in the early morning for sweeping vistas across iconic karst islands and emerald lagoons. The short but rewarding climb offers one of Raja Ampat’s most photographed panoramas. Continue to Yeben, a lesser-visited island known for its healthy reefs and dazzling visibility. Dive or snorkel vibrant sites with colourful corals and a profusion of marine species. Later, arrive at Aljui Bay to visit the Atlas South Sea Pearl Farm. Learn about the intricate, multi-year process of cultivating premium pearls from local oysters, grown in the farm’s distinctive netted pens. Below the farm’s jetty lies a rich dive site where man-made structures attract diverse marine life.

DAY 4 & 5 | WAYAG

After a morning dive or snorkel at Black Rock (near Kawe), cruise north to the remote archipelago of Wayag. With surreal limestone islets and cerulean waterways, Wayag is often seen as the crown jewel of Raja Ampat. Spend two days immersed in this maze-like seascape—kayaking through narrow channels, swimming in clear lagoons, or hiking up one of the towering peaks. The steep but short hike behind the anchorage rewards with a 360° view that captures the untouched beauty of the region. Divers can explore Two Hump Rock or Figure Eight Rock, where nutrient-rich currents attract reef sharks, bumphead parrotfish, and vast schools of fish.

DAY 6 | MANTA SANDY & ARBOREK

Begin with a morning dive at Citrus Ridge, where yellow and orange soft corals glow against a backdrop of deep blue, and fusiliers dart through the current. After breakfast, sail towards the Arborek region to visit Manta Sandy—a renowned cleaning station where reef mantas congregate. Whether diving or snorkelling, this is a rare chance to watch these majestic creatures up close in their natural habitat.

DAY 7 | FRIWIN & KALIBIRU

Start your day exploring Friwin’s world-class underwater sites. Dive at Blue Magic, a submerged seamount where jacks, barracuda, and even mantas cruise by. Sardine Reef offers equally thrilling encounters, with dense marine life and dramatic topography. Snorkellers can enjoy Friwinbonda, with coral gardens right off the cliffs. Later, sail east to Kalibiru, where you’ll trek through lush jungle to reach the Blue River—a surreal stream of electric-blue freshwater cutting through thick forest. A refreshing dip here is a sublime way to end your wilderness adventure.

DAY 8 | SORONG

Enjoy a final breakfast on deck, taking in the peaceful surroundings as the yacht returns to Sorong. Your crew will assist with disembarkation and transfers for your onward journey. From remote reefs to sacred bird forests and village encounters, this superyacht charter offers rare access to one of the most untouched corners of our planet.
