Dubai Yacht Charter

Dubai has become one of the world’s most established destinations for yacht charters, offering exceptional infrastructure, a reliable climate, and a coastline suited to both leisure and business occasions. The city’s marinas are among the most advanced in the region, hosting an impressive selection of yachts available.

Phoenix Charter Brokers handle every aspect of the process — identifying the right yacht, verifying quality, coordinating logistics, and ensuring each detail reflects the client’s expectations. Every recommendation is based on first-hand knowledge of the vessels, and a Dubai itinerary suited to your preferences.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How do I choose the right yacht for my charter?

Choosing the right yacht for charter depends on your preferences, the type of vacation you are seeking, and the size of your group. Our expert yacht charter brokers will help guide you in selecting the perfect yacht based on factors such as:

Type of yacht: Motor yachts for speed and luxury, sailing yachts for a more classic experience, or explorer yachts for remote destinations.
Amenities: We offer yachts for charter with onboard spas, gyms, water sports equipment, and entertainment systems to ensure the experience meets your expectations.
Size & Layout: Choose a yacht with the right number of cabins and deck space to accommodate your party in maximum comfort.
Destinations: Different yachts may be suited for specific locations, such as the Mediterranean, Caribbean, or more remote areas.

Your dedicated charter broker will assist you every step of the way in finding a yacht that fits your needs perfectly.

What kind of activities are available on board?

Yacht charters are designed to provide a full range of activities to suit your interests. Onboard activities typically include:

Water Sports: Snorkeling, scuba diving, jet skiing, paddleboarding, wakeboarding, and more.
Wellness: Onboard yoga, massage services, and spa treatments for ultimate relaxation.
Entertainment: Cinema rooms, games, onboard music systems, and satellite TV.
Excursions: Customised excursions such as island tours, private beach picnics, and hiking trips.
Dining: Enjoy fine dining prepared by your personal chef with local ingredients or gourmet meals tailored to your preferences.

If you have specific activities in mind for your yacht charter, your charter broker can ensure the yacht you choose is equipped with the necessary facilities.

How far in advance should I book a yacht charter?

It is generally recommended to book a yacht charter 6 to 12 months in advance, especially for popular destinations or peak seasons like the Mediterranean summer (June to September). However, last-minute bookings for yacht charters can sometimes be accommodated, particularly if you are flexible with dates and yacht preferences. Your charter broker will help you secure the best possible options based on your timeframe.

What is included in the cost of a yacht charter?

The base cost of a yacht charter typically includes:

– The yacht rental for a specific duration (e.g., per day or week). wakeboarding, and more.
– Crewed services including the captain, chefs, stewards, and other essential crew members.
– Onboard amenities: such as water sports equipment, internet access, and entertainment systems.

Additional costs may apply, such as:

–   VAT of the country where charter takes place
–   Delivery fee from yacht’s home port
–   Food and beverages (unless specified as all-inclusive).
–   Fuel
–   Port fees and taxes
–   Special requests like specific excursions or custom meals

Your charter broker will provide a detailed breakdown of the cost, including both the base rate and any additional expenses.

Can all yachts charter in all destinations?

Not all yachts are able to charter in every destination. Certain yachts are restricted by charter calendar, local regulations, port accessibility, or cruising requirements. Factors such as yacht size, cruising range, and port permissions can influence the available destinations. Your charter broker will recommend yachts that are authorized and best suited for your desired locations.

Are there more yachts available besides the ones on the website?

Yes, there are always more yachts available beyond what you see on the website. The yacht charter industry includes many vessels that are not publicly listed for various reasons, including private bookings, discretion, or seasonal availability. By working with a charter broker, you gain access to a broader selection of yachts —some of which may not be visible online — and can find the perfect match for your needs.

How can I contact a charter broker?

You can contact a charter broker directly through our website by filling out a contact form or by calling our dedicated charter team. Our brokers are available via email, phone, or chat and are always ready to assist with any questions or booking inquiries. They will guide you through the process of chartering a yacht from initial planning to the final stages of your yacht charter.

Is there a minimum length for a yacht charter?

The minimum length for a yacht charter can vary depending on the yacht and the destination, but typically a yacht charter has a minimum duration of 3 to 7 days. Some yachts may offer shorter charters, particularly during low season or if availability allows. For specific needs, speak with your charter broker to arrange the ideal charter duration for you.

Can I bring my pet on board?

Many yachts are pet-friendly and allow you to bring your pet on board. However, this is subject to the yacht’s policies, which may include security deposit, an additional cleaning fee or certain restrictions. Always consult with your charter broker ahead of time to ensure the yacht you choose is pet-friendly and meets your pet’s needs.

What happens in case of bad weather?

In the event of bad weather, safety is always the top priority. If conditions are unsafe, the captain and crew will make the necessary adjustments to ensure everyone’s well-being. This may involve altering the course, changing the itinerary of your yacht charter, or seeking shelter in a safer location. Most yacht charters include flexibility in itinerary changes due to weather, and your crew will keep you informed of any necessary changes. In extreme cases, where the charter cannot proceed as planned, cancellation policies or rescheduling options will be discussed with your charter broker.

What is the Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA) and what does it cover?

The Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA) is a sum paid in advance to cover charter expenses that are not included in the charter fee. These may include fuel for the yacht, tenders and water sports equipment, food and beverages, berthing dues and harbour charges, local taxes, divers’ fees, customs formalities, waste disposal, water and electricity taken from shore, ships’ agents’ fees (where applicable), personal laundry, communications and internet use, and any special equipment requested by the Charterer. The Captain will provide detailed accounts of expenditure, and any balance will be settled at the end of your yacht charter.

What is the standard percentage for gratuities in yachting?

Gratuities are not included in the charter fee. It is customary, though always at the Charterer’s discretion, to leave a gratuity in recognition of excellent service. As a guideline, a gratuity in the region of 10 to 15 per cent of the contracted gross Charter Fee is considered appropriate.
